Unsere TH hatte im Rahmen des Projektes „Leonardo“, Israel und Palästina im 2. Teil für die palästinensische Seite einen Sprecher eingeladen mit einem sehr bewegenden Vortrag. Der Kern seines Beitrags war: „Es ist alles gesagt. Was wir jetzt brauchen sind Visionäre (mit neuen, gemeinsamen Lösungsansätzen).“

Der Kommentator geht auch auf das Beispiel Südafrika ein, wie Nelson Mandela den Weg für die Versöhnung bereitet hat.
Die letzten Sätze aus dem Beitrag: [Another quote from Nelson Mandela, from his autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom, comes to mind: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
As Palestinians and Israelis, we can learn to hate or to love. But to do either, we must take a stand. Whatever the circumstances, reconciliation requires taking a stand to love and to renounce hate. If we do that, we can become the champions of our future.
